With deepest sorrow, we announce that Miss. Abbiramy Kathatharan, age 18, our most beloved daughter, granddaughter, sister, cousin, niece and friend has passed away on April 17, 2020 while in hospital.

Abbi was a beautiful, loving young girl who was very kind to everyone. She was a positive person who always brought joy to others around her. Everyone who knew her have lost a bright shining light in their life.

Abbi will be sorely missed by her adoring father, Mr. Kathatharan Ponnampalam (Gobu), her loving mother Mrs. Sivagayathri Kathatharan, brothers Rishikesh, Aathikesh and Harryikesh.

She was the caring Granddaughter of late Mr. Satchithananthampillai Sinnathamby(Headmaster)
and Mrs. Jegatheeswary Satchithananthampillai (Sithankerny/UK) and of Dr. Ponnampalam Kanagasabai and Mrs. Indranee Ponnampalam (Point Pedro/UK).

Loving niece of Mr. Vijendra (Canada), Mrs. Vathani (Canada), late Mr. Vijayaragavan (UK), Mrs. Deepa (UK), Mr. Sivasithamparam (UK), Mrs. Sivalogini (UK), and Mr. Srishkanthaneshan (UK).

Fond cousin of Umeira, Sharanga, Vinushan, Thanugen, Shroothy, Tharun, Kishoar, Ashwini and Achuthan.

Abbi was born in London, grew up in Ingatestone, Essex, where she attended a top Grammar School Chelmsford County High School for Girls.

Abbi shared the most magical bond with her parents; as a beloved daughter, best friend and, on occasion, as their boss. Mum and dad will love you forever, darling.

She was a wonderful big sister with a massive heart. Her very close relationship with her brothers was unlike any other: proud sister, best friend, mentor and a role model; she was and always will be there for them.

Her sweet mannerisms made her very popular with her cousins, uncles, aunts and grandparents, all of whom adored her dearly. Abbi had a deep sense of love towards her extended family, and she cherished the time they would spend together playing with her cousins, and enjoying family dinners.

Abbi loved music, she used to play Tamil and Western songs on the Piano to entertain friends and family. We will treasure all of the beautiful moments we had together with Abbi.

Abbi was caring, hardworking and deeply committed to her education. She was loved by her teachers and classmates in her school. She has gone and free like a bird but memories can never be taken away.

Our dearest Abbi was a little angel who came into our life, brought so much of love and joy to us; our life will never be the same again. We shall cherish the wonderful memories and celebrate her life forever.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
