Mrs. Maryrani Velmurugu, who was born in Slazier Kovilady, Chankanai, Jaffna, and lately livedin Colombo, passed away peacefully Thursday, 25 February 2021, and was embraced by nature.
She is the beloved daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Anthony and Annammah of Chankanai,
Loving daughter in law of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ponnar and Luxmi,
Beloved wife of the late Mr. Velmurugu (Chief Clerk, Manipay Regional Office),
Ever loving mother of Venmathi (Swiss), Valarmathi (France), Mathumathi (Colombo), Inthumathi (France) and Nanmathi (Teacher, Ratmalana Hindu College),
Loving mother in law of Ithayakumar (Swiss), Jeyadasan (France), Sivanathan (Colombo),
Antony Ravindran (France) and Dr. Suresh Mohan (Physician, Government Teaching Hospital,
Kalubowila),
Kind and loving sister of the late Gnanammah, Veronica, George, Maheswary and Edward, and
also of Joseph, Anandarajah and Mary Madeline,
Affectionate grandmother of Kishanth, Rashinth, Nirone, Derane, Andrew, Gowthaman, Brinthila, Nirujan and Romina.
Her funeral and final rites functions will be conducted at her residence on Friday, 26 February
2021 at around 04:00 PM, followed by Holy Burial at the Galkissa Cemetery.
