Mr. Thambiah Nithiyaratnam, who was born in Vaddukoddai, Jaffna and lived in Central Kopay, Jaffna, passed away peacefully and was embraced by Christ on Saturday, 08 January 2022.
He is the beloved youngest son of the late Thambiah and Sivakamipillai,
Loving son in law of the late Gnanaratnam and Jeevamani,
Beloved husband of Jeyamani (Retired Teacher, Vaddukoddai Hindu College),
Ever loving father of Thananjeyan (UK), Nithiyananthan (deceased) (Canada), Jeyanithi
(Teacher, Saiva Mangayar Vidyalayam, Colombo) and Jeyavathy (Teacher, Kopay Navalar Thamil
Vidyalayam),
Loving father in law of Lakshmidevi (UK), Ruth Vasanthy (Canada), Jeevaruban (Nexus Propoerty
Developers, Pvt., Ltd.) and Cyril Thanarajan (Regional Secretariat, Jaffna),
Affectionate grandfather of Haripranavi, Harinivajini, Ram Nivethanan, Lydia Natasha, Rachel Nataniya, Jeevas, Jeevini, Divyaraj and Niroshraj,
Kind and loving brother of the late Anandaratnam and Arumugananthan,
Loving brother in law of the late Jeyarajah and Jeyaratnam.
His holy remains will lie in state for paying tributes at his residence on Manipay Road, Central Kopay, on Tuesday, 11 January 2022, at around 12:00 Noon, with final services conducted on Wednesday, 12 January 2022, at around 10:00 AM, followed by internment at the St. Mary’s Church Burial Grounds.
